Cosmetic dentist in Edinburgh offering private dental treatment
Bite Dentistry is a well established dentist surgery of over 15 years based in Edinburgh, Scotland.
We specialise in cosmetic dentistry and are currently expanding our services to include such dentist services as dental implants.
An estimate will be given after an initial consultation; usually this involves taking digital x-rays.
Why not join one of our many delighted patients who have benefited from the latest cosmetic procedures to enhance their smiles such as teeth whitening and give a more youthful appearance. With over 15 years experience in private cosmetic dentistry we are well placed to give you the smile you've always wanted!!
All our dentists can perform routine dentistry including fillings both amalgam and tooth coloured, root canal treatments, crowns, bridges and veneers. We can also provide sedation and hypnosis for more nervous patients. An estimate will be given after an initial consultation; usually this involves taking digital x-rays.
We accept people onto a monthly budgeting scheme called 'Denplan'. This allows the patient to receive an excellent standard of care at an affordable cost. The level of the plan is tailored to the expected need of the patient. Patients can only join the scheme once they are dentally fit.
We have three types of sedation we can offer, IV Sedation, RA Sedation (gas and air) and Oral Sedation.
Intravenous (IV) sedation is a Valium based drug injected into the back of the hand this can also be called conscious sedation so you are not 'put to sleep' but are in a very relaxed state, most patients prefer this type of sedation as there is often no memory of the procedure afterwards therefore making this the most effective way of sedation in patients who are extremely nervous.
RA Sedation (gas&air) can be used for child patients who are really nervous of the dentist, this method can also be used for people with needle phobias.
Oral sedation is a Valium based tablet that can be prescribed to take the evening prior to the dental treatment and in the morning of the treatment to help ease anxiety, this is also a good method for patients with needle phobias.
