Dental Veneers

Veneers are thin coverings of porcelain bonded onto the surface of your tooth. Usually the teeth need to be prepared and a mould taken of the tooth is then taken and sent to a technician who makes the veneer. There is a temporary veneer placed on the tooth after initial preparation. Veneers can dramatically change the colour and positioning of the teeth to lovely effect.

Componeer Example

The above patient, a 45 year old managing director, attended the practice and was unhappy with his smile. Initially we whitened the teeth and after this the patient felt he would like to change the shape of the teeth. We then suggested placing componeer’s. Componeer is a less invasive treatment than porcelain veneers as less of the natural tooth has to be prepared for the fit of the veneer and this patient has no previous fillings or damage to the front teeth therefore making Componeer the ideal treatment! Componeer can be done in one appointment in less than two hours making the ‘same day smile’ achievable!  The picture below shows the results of Componeer’s we done for this patient.  The patient was very happy with the outcome!
